This years Week Without Walls will take place from 16-20 September 2019 for our middle and high school students! Week Without Walls means stepping out of our daily routines and into a set of activities that will help us to bond in our new and existing grade groups. It will help us to develop important life skills and prepare us for another exciting school year ahead.
Middle School
This year our middle school students will be returning to Renesse in Zeeland from Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th September. Outward Bound Nederland will be hosting us in a fantastic group accommodation. Their experienced trainers will guide us through a set of activities, including hiking, biking and building a raft. Renesse is a village close to the beautiful dunes and beaches of the North Sea and not far from the Grevelingen lake. Students in grades 6-8 will receive an extensive information package, which will include some important forms that parents/carers need to fill in. Homeroom teachers will be in touch with parents/carers about an information afternoon, where information will be given about the educational visit and any questions can be answered.
High School
Students in grades 9 and 10 will be travelling to Bruges, Leper and Gent in Belgium from Wednesday, 18-20 September. There will be activities in each city including a photography challenge in Gent and a bike/boat tour of Ieper. Europa Speciaal Reizen will be our tour operator. An information package will be distributed next week with information about all destinations and activities.
From Wednesday 18-19 September, Grade 11 will be joining the middle school in Renesse, Zeeland to work on their group 4 Science project. They will be staying in an Outward Bound accommodation with access to some great locations where they will be able to carry out their experiments.
Grade 12 will have time to work on their CAS projects and Extended Essays. We hope to take them to the city library and include a visit to a museum on Friday.
All very exciting! Keep your eyes peeled for the information packs for middle school and high school, and please return forms as soon as possible once recieved.
We are excited to announce the launch of the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) — a dynamic alternative for students seeking a more career-focused path to graduation.
At Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam (NAISR), one of our biggest responsibilities is to prepare students for a global future. Whatever a young person’s ambitions may be – and wherever these aspirations may take them – it’s our job, as holistic global educators, to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and values to get where they want to go.
Parents of Secondary School students are invited to join our next FREE online Parent Education Presentation and learn more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
