Please note the following for transition days:
Last Thursday, our Year 9 students enjoyed a memorable school excursion to the Picasso for Asia exhibition at the Hong Kong M+ Museum in West Kowloon. During their visit, students participated in engaging educational activities, including drawing their favourite portrait and labelling it in French or Spanish, which helped deepen their understanding of the languages they are studying. Afterwards, the students visited either the French or Spanish restaurant in Wan Chai, where they sampled delicious local dishes such as crêpes and tapas. The students demonstrated exceptional behaviour throughout the day, showing enthusiasm, respect, and curiosity. They truly enjoyed the experience and made the most of this wonderful opportunity to appreciate art and culture firsthand while practising their language skills in a real-world setting.

Swimming Gala – Ms. Wiltshire
On Friday, 6th June, the annual secondary school swimming gala took place at Kwun Tong Swimming Pool, featuring Year 7, 8, and 9 students. The event was filled with excitement and showcased the resilience and determination of our young athletes.
The swimmers demonstrated exceptional effort throughout the competition, pushing their limits and supporting one another. Many displayed remarkable perseverance, especially in challenging races where they had to overcome fatigue and maintain focus.
Notably, several outstanding performances led to excellent results, including the breaking of school records. Brandon L from Year 8 set new records in both the Boys 100m Freestyle and the 50m Backstroke, showcasing his impressive speed and technique. Additionally, Michael R from Year 9 broke the record in the Boys 50m Backstroke, further highlighting the talent within our school.
In a spirited competition, the house winners were Sandringham, who demonstrated teamwork and competitive spirit throughout the gala.
Overall, the swimming gala was a fantastic display of talent, determination, and school spirit, leaving everyone eager for next year's event!
U14 Netball Finals – Thursday 5th June
What a match! The U14 Netball squad came out strong in the recent ISSFHK finals, eager for gold medals. With their game faces on, they rose to the occasion, showcasing smart passes, great movement, tight defense, and solid shooting. They held Kellett to a 4-4 draw after the first quarter.
Entering the second quarter with excitement and urgency, they aimed to build on their success. However, the intensity led to some challenges, including poor passes and communication issues, leaving them down 6-10. In a crucial team talk, they focused on staying mentally sharp, making smart choices, and not succumbing to pressure. This strategy paid off, and the third quarter ended in a 10-10 tie, thanks to outstanding defense that kept Kellett from scoring for 10 minutes.
With everything on the line in the final quarter, the ball moved back and forth across the court. With just two minutes remaining, the score was tied at 14-14. Would they go into overtime or take the lead? It was their center pass! The game concluded with a final score of 14-16 in favour of Kellett, but our squad proudly took home the silver medal. All the training sessions, matches, and team discussions culminated in tremendous improvement over the season. As a PE Department, we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!
