Over 3293 Nord Anglia students took part, and 647 entries were submitted into the global competition, from 66 schools, so to be considered global is an outstanding achievement. All entries were judged by our volunteer NAE judges before the 50 winning entries were sent to our two Juilliard judges, who will decide the two Best in Show pieces.

The feedback Syrus T received on their entry from our NAE judges was: “Very nice tone! Strong musicianship especially with the rhythms in your songs. Continue to work on your expression and show of character.”

The feedback NAIS Hong Kong Year 1-3 Choir received on their entry from our NAE judges was: “Very good timing and harmonies!”

The feedback NAIS Hong Kong Chamber Choir received on their entry from our NAE judges was: “This was a very enjoyable performance with a lot of potential. The choir seems to blend well, and it seems to have a natural flow when interpreting the music. However, there needs to be more contrasts in general, especially when you are approaching a big climax. Perhaps you can experiment with a more robust sound from the men as well as a more projected sound. As for the pulse, although is good and consistent, perhaps a bit of natural breathing space would be good.”

The quality of the pieces this year was incredibly high, demonstrating the commitment, confidence, and creativity of all NAE students.

A huge congratulations to all entrants and especially our winners!

We are so proud of you all and cannot wait to see what incredible talents you continue to showcase in the years to come.
