Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
Visual Arts students embody the IB Learner Profile characteristics; they have needed to be caring, principled, open minded, risk-takers and knowledgeable (to name a few of the essential qualities and characteristics!) to embrace the challenges the changing global landscape has offered, and the influence this had had on their studies and art production over the past 18 months. Their work covers a broad range of art media which includes digital animation, illustration, photography techniques and installation, as well as more traditional painting and drawing art making methods.
Art is often a reaction, or personal response to, a moment in time or a historic event. It can be a means of a personal communication and reflection by the artist, or alternatively a way to challenge thoughts and perceptions of issues and events.
This year’s graduating cohort certainly had a lot of material for creative inspiration. The video below shares some of our young artists work and their thoughts about their course:
We are delighted to share the short virtual tours of the students' personal Gallery Exhibitions, where their work can be viewed in a Gallery setting, as intended. The students explain the philosophy behind their work within their curatorial rationale:
Cate Lin's Gallery Exhibition
Ethan's Gallery exhibition
Thanaaz's Gallery Exhibition
We think you will agree that the future looks bright in the care of these insightful, sensitive, socially and environmentally conscious individuals.
Thanaaz will go on to study Fashion Communication and Promotion at Central St. Martins, University of the Arts, London. Ethan will study Architectural Design at the University of Queensland, Australia. Cate Lin is in the final stages of applications to study Medicine in Australia.
Well done Thanaaz, Ethan & Cate Lin!
