Our facilities provide the backdrop to, and inspiration behind, many of our students’ greatest achievements.  

From our Creative Technology Zone and 524-seat auditorium to the Team Falcon Sports Academy, every space is designed to enrich learning and unlock endless possibilities. 

We know how crucial it is to provide world-class learning environments, like these, for our children. We also understand the importance of investing in new, purpose-built facilities that meet the needs of our growing community.  

This is why, over the next few months, we’ll be making some exciting additions to our campus. These investments will ensure our students continue to thrive in stimulating, high-quality spaces. Looking to the future keeps us at forefront of school facility development in the region, too.  

So, what are the latest developments on our campus? And how will these facilities enhance your child’s education? In this article, we share what’s new and explain how these changes reinforce our commitment to quality, innovation, and student wellbeing.  

Facilities that meet the needs of the whole community 

It’s an exciting time to be part of the BIS Abu Dhabi community.  

Our campus is evolving, as we build new, innovative spaces, and develop some of our existing facilities. This expansion is being undertaken with careful consideration and a clear purpose.  

In practice, this means:

Exciting new spaces that unlock potential  

The newest additions to our campus will offer exciting opportunities for everyone – including our parents and families.  

We’ve worked closely with leading architects and school construction specialists to make sure these new developments complement our existing facilities. Our teachers have had a big input, too, ensuring every space truly enhances the education we offer. 

Our new facilities include: 

State-of-the-art science labs 

Our future-ready science labs will inspire the next generation of innovators. Equipped with the latest technology and cutting-edge resources, our bright, modern labs will play host to immersive, hands-on learning in biology, chemistry, and physics. 

A flexible multipurpose hall

Our flexible, multipurpose space will unlock endless possibilities for our students.  

This light-filled, air-conditioned hall will be used for sports, including gymnastics, particularly during the hot summer months. It will also provide a quiet space for exams, where students won’t be interrupted. The hall will be used as a dynamic classroom and lecture space, too. 

A dedicated parent lounge and café 

Our new parent café will be a warm, welcoming space where families can connect and meet-up on campus. Serving coffees, drinks, and snacks – and with lots of comfy seating – we hope our contemporary lounge will be a hub for BIS Abu Dhabi’s parent community. 

Adding to our existing, world-class facilities

These new developments are designed to seamlessly sit alongside our existing facilities, classrooms, and shared spaces. 

For those of you who are yet to visit our campus (our friendly Admissions Team can happily arrange an in-person or virtual tour!), our facilities include: 

• A modern Arts Centre with a 524-seat auditorium, high-tech dance and drama studios, three music suites, and three practice spaces. 
  
  
• Indoor swimming pools, a gym, sports hall, and natural grass playing fields.  
  
  
• Primary and Secondary libraries stocked with more than 15,000 books.  
  
  
• A Creative Technology Zone, which houses our computer science suite and a design and technology workspace. 
  
  
• A dedicated Early Years area with an adventure playground, shaded courtyards, multisensory outdoor spaces, and an Eco-Edventure area. 
  
  
• Across these spaces – and in every classroom – the latest education technology adds an exciting, interactive dimension to teaching and learning.

The goal of our latest campus developments (and the ambition behind every expansion project we undertake) is to enhance the student experience. We also want to strengthen connections across our parent community.
