It is with great admiration that we celebrate the exceptional talent of the STA Music Academy’s students in their Music Composition in Film performance, featuring both the Senior and Junior Orchestras. This remarkable event highlighted the creativity and dedication of the students as they skillfully reimagined iconic film music through their composition and orchestration. The performance showcased a selection of stirring pieces from renowned Hollywood and Disney films, arranged by the talented Music Composition team. Their work infused new depth and life into these beloved soundtracks, demonstrating not only technical skill but also an artistic vision that resonates with the essence of cinematic music. The show was further enhanced by the outstanding arrangement work of Kotoha Year 10 and Mr Piyasak, the Music Composition teacher from the Music Academy, whose guidance and expertise contributed to shaping this extraordinary performance. Adding to the brilliance of the event, Minon Year 10, a gifted vocalist, and the fantastic drummer Luke Year 10 were special guests who lent their voices and drumming styles to create a unique, memorable experience for the audience. This event, held on Tuesday, 11th March 2025, in the High School Library, was an inspiring display of what is possible when students work together, blending their passion for music and film. We commend all the performers, composers, and arrangers for their hard work, creativity, and dedication in bringing this exciting musical journey to life. Such events continue to highlight the immense potential of the students and the Music Academy’s commitment to fostering artistic expression and musical excellence.
