We recently held a Life Skills Summer Camp, focused on developing essential skills for our Embracing Differences students. Each day was filled with different activities aimed at teaching practical and personal skills.
Day 1: Personal Hygiene
Students learned about proper hand washing, brushing teeth, showering, and exercising. The day ended with a fun water play session, followed by practicing their hygiene routines.
Day 2: Household Chores
Students experienced hand washing clothes, cooking food, setting and clearing the table, and washing dishes. These activities taught them the importance of maintaining a clean and organized home.
Day 3: Personality Development
The students practiced styling their hair, applying makeup, dressing up, and walking confidently. The day culminated in a Fashion Show where they showcased their new skills.
Day 4: Team Building
Students planned and prepared performances for a Talent Show, choosing from dance, singing, or magic acts. Their confidence shone through as they performed in the afternoon Talent Show.
Day 5: Trip to Pororo Aqua Park
The final day was a trip to Pororo Aqua Park in Bangna, where students applied the skills they learned throughout the camp in a real-world setting.
The Life Skills Summer Camp was a success, helping our students build confidence and independence.
NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!
High School Design and Technology students step outside the classroom to explore design and architecture in Bangkok. Year 8 students visited a uniquely designed café precinct, where they learned from the architect of the precinct himself how thoughtful use of materials, geometry, and landscaping can transform spaces. Meanwhile, Year 12 IB students explored the fusion of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship and the use of natural materials at the impressive studio of renowned Thailand-based architect Patrick Keane.
Sports Day in Primary School is a joyful and exciting event that brings the school community together to celebrate movement, teamwork, and fun. With a wide range of activities—from egg and spoon races to shot put throws—students in Primary compete in House teams, cheered on by teachers, families, and friends. The day encourages physical activity, builds good sportsmanship, and creates lasting memories, making it one of the most special days of the school year.
