Our Bangkok Buddies students enjoyed a fun-filled week of adventures, laughter, new friendships, and new experiences this summer. We kicked off the camp with a trip to Siam Water Park, where students rode the slides, surfed the wave pool, and enjoyed lunch. The weather cooperated perfectly, giving us hours of glorious sunshine.
The fun continued the next day at Harbor Land, where our students engaged in games of tag and role-play with friends and students from another school who were also visiting.
During the last three days of camp, students visited a trampoline park, a bowling alley, and went swimming at the High School. The grand finale was a 'Harry Potter' themed day, in collaboration with Curtain Up Bkk, where our Bangkok Buddies were transformed into wizards and our Embracing Differences department became 'Hogwarts'. Students enjoyed making potions, performing wizard tricks, arts and crafts, dancing, and much more!
A big thank you to our STA staff, the STARS and Embracing Differences educators, Ms. Alexandra, and the Curtain Up team. The STA community's support makes these fun camps possible for our students after a busy school year. We wish you all a fantastic summer and look forward to the new school year.
NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!
High School Design and Technology students step outside the classroom to explore design and architecture in Bangkok. Year 8 students visited a uniquely designed café precinct, where they learned from the architect of the precinct himself how thoughtful use of materials, geometry, and landscaping can transform spaces. Meanwhile, Year 12 IB students explored the fusion of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship and the use of natural materials at the impressive studio of renowned Thailand-based architect Patrick Keane.
Sports Day in Primary School is a joyful and exciting event that brings the school community together to celebrate movement, teamwork, and fun. With a wide range of activities—from egg and spoon races to shot put throws—students in Primary compete in House teams, cheered on by teachers, families, and friends. The day encourages physical activity, builds good sportsmanship, and creates lasting memories, making it one of the most special days of the school year.
