The self checkout system is a very simple and efficient way to borrow books from the Library. Read through the instructions in this week’s article.
As you already know, the Self Checkout system was successfully implemented in the Simon Lawrence Library at the counter next to the Library entrance. The checkout process can be completed by students using one of four iPods as well as the touchscreen PC by students. The step-by-step instructions for using these devices are clearly displayed next to the devices as well as on the counter. Please read the instructions carefully in order to borrow any books (except Reference books) from the Library.
For newcomers to St Andrews International School Bangkok, the system is very simple and efficient with three easy-to-follow steps as shown below. First, scan the QR code on your ID badge. Second, scan the school barcode on the back of the book. Finally, click the “Reset” or “X” button to sign out. Please be reminded that you should bring your ID card in order to borrow (check out) any books from the Library. If you forget your badge, you will be asked to check your library account with the Library staff. Should you have any problems or questions with this system, please feel free to contact the High School librarians.
At St Andrews Bangkok, we believe that every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and included both inside and outside the classroom. That’s why we are incredibly proud to introduce the Friendship Benches project, an initiative designed to foster connection, kindness, and community spirit across the school.
From 25th May to 27th May, St Andrews International School Bangkok proudly hosted the 2025 Nord Anglia SEA STEAM Festival. Students from across Southeast Asia came together for three inspiring days of creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. This year’s big question: “How can we reduce or repurpose school waste to create a lasting impact in our communities and environment?”
From cultural celebrations and hands-on STEAM challenges to expert talks and a final showcase of student-led projects, the festival was a true celebration of innovation and sustainability.
NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!
