Staff of the Simon Lawrence Library at St Andrews International School Bangkok are looking forward to welcoming author Jonathan Camm to the High School this week.
The Simon Lawrence Library is pleased to host the English, Hua Hin-based, author, Jonathan Camm, for a visit to the High School this week. He will be leading several workshops with our KS3 students during the day on Thursday 20 March, chatting about his expeditions from a mining engineer to a teacher and author to find more meaning to life as well as sharing his soul-searching journey and experiences in New Zealand with students. Although the Library does not have his series of ‘Countdown Mysteries’ stories for younger children which currently include 12 books, we do have a number of signed copies of his recent book ‘More to Life?’ available. If you would like to read it, please feel free to pass by the Library and grab a copy.
The Simon Lawrence Library is pleased to highlight new books for “Graphic Novel Week.” Our Bookflix shows a lot of new graphic novels which have been pouring into the Library. When you take a close look at the books on display, you can figure out they are not just a simple story with illustrations but are in fact some award-winning books as well as books relevant to current global issues such as refugees, civil wars, gender inequality, as so on. In addition, some graphic novels are selected based on very popular novels from world-renowned authors, e.g. Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, Gene Luen Yang’s Level Up as well as Rick Riodan’s Percy Jackson series. Please come enjoy our Graphic Novel collection this week.
The deadline for voting is just around the corner, which is Friday, 22nd March. All the shortlisted titles in both the Junior Books and Young Adult Books categories are on display in the Library. You are highly encouraged to scan the QR code on display in the promotional materials on the bookshelves or click on this link to choose this year’s winner. Please be reminded that you can win house points when you vote. When you place your vote, please capture the screen and send it to [email protected]. Your participation is greatly appreciated in advance and could make all the difference to who wins this year.
At St Andrews Bangkok, we believe that every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and included both inside and outside the classroom. That’s why we are incredibly proud to introduce the Friendship Benches project, an initiative designed to foster connection, kindness, and community spirit across the school.
From 25th May to 27th May, St Andrews International School Bangkok proudly hosted the 2025 Nord Anglia SEA STEAM Festival. Students from across Southeast Asia came together for three inspiring days of creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. This year’s big question: “How can we reduce or repurpose school waste to create a lasting impact in our communities and environment?”
From cultural celebrations and hands-on STEAM challenges to expert talks and a final showcase of student-led projects, the festival was a true celebration of innovation and sustainability.
NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!
