The staff of the Simon Lawrence Library at St Andrews International School Bangkok are pleased to announce that books are now available through Bookflix. Read on for more information.
We hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing half-term break.
Good news. The Simon Lawrence Library is pleased to announce that we have subscribed to BOOOKFLIX which offers an online streaming service. BOOKFLIX now provides more than 10,000 books for our school, and technically speaking, it is free because all the books are housed in our Library. In addition, it is such a dynamic, bidirectional platform that new books can be added and displayed depending on your demand. Please visit the Library and take a look at our BOOKFLIX Library displays next to the entrance doors every week. At the moment, we can offer various “offline” books including some popular books in Bookflix, a couple of trendy and award-winning books, a variety of books added recently to the Library and some recommended books for you. Should you have any recommended/suggested books, please do not hesitate to ask the Library or email us at [email protected] so that we can obtain them as soon as possible.

High School Design and Technology students step outside the classroom to explore design and architecture in Bangkok. Year 8 students visited a uniquely designed café precinct, where they learned from the architect of the precinct himself how thoughtful use of materials, geometry, and landscaping can transform spaces. Meanwhile, Year 12 IB students explored the fusion of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship and the use of natural materials at the impressive studio of renowned Thailand-based architect Patrick Keane.
Sports Day in Primary School is a joyful and exciting event that brings the school community together to celebrate movement, teamwork, and fun. With a wide range of activities—from egg and spoon races to shot put throws—students in Primary compete in House teams, cheered on by teachers, families, and friends. The day encourages physical activity, builds good sportsmanship, and creates lasting memories, making it one of the most special days of the school year.
