Our explorers returned from their life-changing expedition last week and we can’t be prouder of them. They hiked during 6 days with the objective of conquering the summit of Africa’s highest mountain.
Unfortunately, the odds were not in their favour and just 300 meters away from the top, they had to start the descend due to the altitude sickness of some participants. What a life lesson! Despite the small disappointment at the end, the expedition remains a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students who have pushed their limits, shown a great determination and resilience, strengthen the bonds with their schoolmates and teachers and discovered the beauty of Kenya.
A huge thank you to the entire Champittet team for making this a wonderful, safe, challenging and positive experience. Opportunities like this are unique and special, and we are so glad that Emma had the opportunity to be part of a something that she will cherish forever.
Collaboration often leads to innovation – and for three days in May, a group of our Champittet students had the opportunity to experience just that with 200 students from across Europe at the NAE STEAM festival in Prague!
