Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) play an essential role in the development of our students and have a special place in their schooling at Champittet.
For this first STEAM Day, our students had to improvise being meteorologists and inform the local population about the approach of a cyclone on their imaginary city called "Dron Galina". Information about the arrival of the cyclone is very limited and has to be updated as the cyclone approaches.
This challenge was successfully met by our students from classes 6 to 10. This scientific and concrete project allowed the pupils to become aware of the environmental problems of our planet but also to understand the stakes.
Collaboration often leads to innovation – and for three days in May, a group of our Champittet students had the opportunity to experience just that with 200 students from across Europe at the NAE STEAM festival in Prague!
