Dat graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Oriental Studies from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. With excellent Korean language and research ability, he was awarded a scholarship to study Archaeology at the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage. After that, he continued to study for a Master's degree in Asian Studies, focusing on Korean modern literature and had a short research period at Aix University - Marseille, France.

Dat joined BVIS in 2018 as a Language Support Teacher, supporting Korean students in Primary and building a curriculum for Vietnamese as an Additional language. He has a passion for language studies and cultures from a comparative perspective. He is currently a PhD student in Anthropology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and intends to develop a research proposal on the linguistic and cultural symbiosis of the Korean community in some Asian countries.

Dat enjoys working with children and shares his language learning experiences with young people who are bilingual and love to explore the culture in each language. In his free time, he often reads books, listens to music, and hangs out with his lovely pets.
