Dear BISB Community,
We are the Junior Change Makers and we are working on a Second Hand Clothing Sale project. We will need some donations from you. We will be accepting spring and summer clothes for all genders from sizes 128-158 (year 4-6). We will collect the clothes from the 17th-21st of March. However, there may be another date available if we still need more clothing. You can drop off the clothes into a labelled box in the reception hall (atrium). The day of the sale will be on the 7th of May between 15:00-16:30. All the money we make will go to charity and leftover clothes will be donated or recycled. Did you know, every year across the world we produce 92 million tonnes of textile waste. Unless big changes happen and improve how we make, use, and dispose of clothes, it's estimated that by 2030 we'll create 134 million tonnes of textile waste globally. We hope that you will help us support this worthy cause and please come to our sale and buy some lovely clothes.
Thank you,
from the Junior Change Makers
After learning about Attila József for a few lessons, our Hungarian teacher led us on a Year arrival, we stepped into a truly delightful inner garden, adorned with exquisite flowers.
Year 9 Service Learning project, under the name of Wellbeing Fair, was a huge success! Everyone in our year group has been preparing for months to be able to deliver such a result. The collaboration work was well spread out, with people from Sapphire writing some positive notes, taking smiling photos and organising a fitness challenge. Jade was hard at work making sure that everything goes well at their bake sale, and their football event. Ruby created a quiz, had a juice bar, and organised a penalty shootout.
The BISB WOLVES Secondary Girls' and Boys' Volleyball teams have wrapped up a short but action-packed season, demonstrating remarkable growth, resilience, and sportsmanship in both the Danube Valley Athletic Conference (DVAC) festivals, tournaments and the BISL Budapest Cup.
