This week our teams have been busy preparing for two amazing events one for the parent community and one for the whole family. These are both opportunities to get our international community together and also help make a difference to those less fortunate.
The BISB Charity Dinner Dance - 29th March 2025
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming Dinner Dance on 29th March which will take place at the Matild Cafe, Matild Palace, at 6:30pm. Ticket registration opens on 2nd March.
This year we continue to support Igazgyongy foundation https://igazgyongyalapitvany.hu to offer educational opportunities to children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We need your support: if you wish to get involved, please come to our next meeting on Wednesday 5th March afternoon at 2:30pm.
BISB International Summer Fair – Mark Your Calendars! 10th May 2025
One of the most exciting upcoming events at BISB is the International Summer Fair, which will take place in school on Saturday 10th May from 11am to 2pm. This will be a grand celebration of culture, food, and traditions, offering families the chance to experience the diversity within our community.
Each country will have the opportunity to participate in different ways: host a food station, organise a fun activity to showcase their unique heritage, prepare a hamper with goods from their country.
We will need the support of many volunteers to make it a success. If you’d like to contribute, whether by helping with food, activities, or logistics, please keep an eye out for more updates on how you can get involved.
We’re looking forward to creating a festival filled with fun, delicious food, and a celebration of cultures.
Help make this an unforgettable day! Join our planning meeting Monday 17th at 2:30pm, to find out how you can get involved.
We wish you a relaxing break!

After learning about Attila József for a few lessons, our Hungarian teacher led us on a Year arrival, we stepped into a truly delightful inner garden, adorned with exquisite flowers.
Year 9 Service Learning project, under the name of Wellbeing Fair, was a huge success! Everyone in our year group has been preparing for months to be able to deliver such a result. The collaboration work was well spread out, with people from Sapphire writing some positive notes, taking smiling photos and organising a fitness challenge. Jade was hard at work making sure that everything goes well at their bake sale, and their football event. Ruby created a quiz, had a juice bar, and organised a penalty shootout.
The BISB WOLVES Secondary Girls' and Boys' Volleyball teams have wrapped up a short but action-packed season, demonstrating remarkable growth, resilience, and sportsmanship in both the Danube Valley Athletic Conference (DVAC) festivals, tournaments and the BISL Budapest Cup.
