BISB WOLVES: A Season of Triumphs and Challenges
The BISB WOLVES had an exciting and challenging end to Season 1, participating in the prestigious NAGGE (Nord Anglia Global Games Europe) U19 Volleyball Tournament, hosted by TBS, Warsaw. Last year, our boys' team returned as champions, and the girls' team earned a silver medal. This year, despite all the hard work, commitment, and resilience, our teams couldn’t quite replicate those remarkable results. The level of competition has significantly intensified, with 17 teams from across Europe taking part, making for a highly competitive tournament.
While the results may not have matched last year’s success, our athletes demonstrated incredible dedication. They also had the opportunity to socialize with other teams during a fun quiz night after the first day of games. After the tournament, they enjoyed exploring the beautiful Old Town of Warsaw, making lasting memories beyond the court.
Earlier this term, BISB hosted the NAGGE U19 Football Tournament, where our girls' team finished as runners-up, and the boys' team made it to the final four, narrowly losing on penalties.
Looking ahead, we are excited for the upcoming U19 NAGGE Basketball and U14 Football and Basketball Tournaments, which will be hosted by our school in March. BISB WOLVES would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a thrilling new season filled with sporting success. Go WOLVES! 🐺

After learning about Attila József for a few lessons, our Hungarian teacher led us on a Year arrival, we stepped into a truly delightful inner garden, adorned with exquisite flowers.
Year 9 Service Learning project, under the name of Wellbeing Fair, was a huge success! Everyone in our year group has been preparing for months to be able to deliver such a result. The collaboration work was well spread out, with people from Sapphire writing some positive notes, taking smiling photos and organising a fitness challenge. Jade was hard at work making sure that everything goes well at their bake sale, and their football event. Ruby created a quiz, had a juice bar, and organised a penalty shootout.
The BISB WOLVES Secondary Girls' and Boys' Volleyball teams have wrapped up a short but action-packed season, demonstrating remarkable growth, resilience, and sportsmanship in both the Danube Valley Athletic Conference (DVAC) festivals, tournaments and the BISL Budapest Cup.
