A TYPICAL DAY AT HIGH SCHOOL

Although every learner's daily schedule will be unique, a typical high schooler's day will look something like this.

Morning drop-off is from 7:30-8:00 am. First class begins at 8:00 am.

The first half of the day includes two periods of 1hr 25 min lessons.

Depending on your schedule, your lunch period will last 40 minutes and may coincide with either a full class or a split class during this block.

The final period is College and Personal Development class (CAPD) to learn lessons in time management, study skills and other helpful tools necessary for success in high school and beyond.

Extra-curricular activity
After the final bell, students head to their extra-curricular activities. These include athletics team training, academic team practices, student clubs or additional tutoring.

  • How safe is the campus?
    Our campus is designed with your safety as a top priority. We have 24-hour security personnel on-site to ensure constant vigilance and rapid response if needed. The campus is equipped with automatic locking gate systems and controlled electronic access to help prevent unauthorized entry. In addition, a comprehensive CCTV network provides 24-hour monitoring across the campus. For added peace of mind, an on-campus nurse is available to assist with health-related concerns at any time.
  • How many students are at the school?
    The high school has 850 students.
  • What is the admissions process like?
    We offer a rolling admissions process, allowing us to welcome students throughout the year. For families able to plan ahead, we encourage submitting applications by our priority deadlines. This helps ensure a smooth and efficient process, with ample time for personalized attention and planning. See our admissions page for more details
  • Do you offer bus service?
    Yes, we offer luxury bus service for an additional fee throughout the Houston area. For more information, visit Bus Service and Transportation. New bus routes are added based on demand.
  • What are the college destinations for your graduates?

  • What kind of field trips are there?

    We take students beyond the classroom into advanced learning environments that enhance the curriculum.

    • 9th grade go on a freshman retreat at the beginning of the year, before traveling to Big Bend National Park to experience wilderness living.

    • 10th grade takes a service-focused trip to Puerto Rico and engages with local culture.

    • 11th grade visit Catalina Island off the California coast to work on scientific projects and conduct field research.

    • Seniors finish the year with a trip to Disney World, Florida, to bond with classmates and reflect before graduation.

    In addition, several programs conduct their own class trips. Recent destinations have included; Brazil, Japan, New Orleans, New York, Paris, Peru and Spain.

  • Do you offer before or after-school care?
    At the high school there are many extra-curricular activities occurring after school including sports, clubs and tutoring. However there is no school-run after care and students are expected to be off campus by the end of carpool (approx. 4:00pm).
