Year 10 artists and photographers at St Andrews International School Bangkok have just completed their first major work. Here is a small selection.
Year 10 GCSE artists and photographers have been creating work on the theme of ‘Natural and Manmade’. Their work has taken a number of forms and is both highly personal and refined. They have gone through a long process of experimentation and research to reach this point and the Art Department is very impressed with the standard of work. This is just a small selection of the students’ work, but we will be displaying all the final outcomes, 45 artworks in total, for this unit in about 2 weeks, so watch this space. (Artwork included here is by Fern, Fifi, Prae, Shaleena, Pearly, Pangmon, Pauline, Jeda, Rose and Tialf).
This week’s Artist of the Week has been awarded to Berry in Year 8. Berry created this piece by painting abstract patterns on a piece of bamboo. The work relates to the theme of nature and is made in a similar style to Australian aboriginal dream painting.
At St Andrews Bangkok, we’re proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)—a pathway that blends academic excellence with real-world learning. Designed for students with a passion for a particular career field, the IBCP allows them to gain practical skills, IB-level academics, and global perspectives to prepare for university and beyond.
With access to career-related studies, IB Diploma courses, and personal development opportunities, our students build the confidence and experience needed to take their next steps. Whether pursuing higher education or entering the professional world, the IBCP ensures they are future-ready.
Students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have begun an exciting artificial intelligence project: integrating Nord Anglia’s “Misty the Robot” with conversational AI model, ChatGPT. Under the guidance of our Head of Robotics, Mr Rob Parker, they recently presented their results to Regional Managing Director, Mr Shaun Williams, as well as the Board of Directors at St Andrews, with the proposition of growing this project as a collaborative research venture across Nord Anglia schools.
