This week Year 7 classes at St Andrews International School Bangkok explored the Juilliard Creative Classroom lesson of Connected Duets as a part of their elements of composition schemes of work.
Our Year 7 classes have been exploring the elements of composition in dance through different lessons from our Juilliard Creative Classroom. This week we focused on partner work, specifically connected partnering or a connected duet. The students first explored shaping in different levels and mirrored or shadowed each other’s shape then each duet performed their moving shapes routine in front of the class. They were then asked to perform it again but this time they needed to be connected to each other in every part of their routine. Our students found so many creative ways to stay as a connected duet. Here are some highlights of the different duets from our Year 7 classes:
At St Andrews Bangkok, we’re proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)—a pathway that blends academic excellence with real-world learning. Designed for students with a passion for a particular career field, the IBCP allows them to gain practical skills, IB-level academics, and global perspectives to prepare for university and beyond.
With access to career-related studies, IB Diploma courses, and personal development opportunities, our students build the confidence and experience needed to take their next steps. Whether pursuing higher education or entering the professional world, the IBCP ensures they are future-ready.
Eloise reflects on her experiences representing St Andrews International School at the annual Remembrance Day service hosted by the British Club in Bangkok.
