This week in the world of CAS we have been jam packed with events as delegates attended the ServICE and MUN Conferences held at NIST and STA.
On Sunday 26 November, students from international schools across Bangkok made their way to our High School to participate in St Andrews’ annual Model United Nations (MUN) conference. With the guidance of advisor Ms Tamara, our MUN extracurricular members worked tirelessly to reach out to a total of 96 chairs and delegates from the American School Bangkok Sukhumvit, the American School Bangkok Green Valley, Regents Pattaya, Regents Bangkok, International Community School, St. Stephens and Bangkok Prep to come and take part in a day’s worth of fruitful debate regarding the world’s most pressing issues. This included gender inequality in the Syrian Arab Republic; the Crimean Annexation; implementing access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy; counter terrorism for dealing with ISIS and reaching consensus on nuclear disarmament. In their best formal wear, the world leaders of tomorrow showed us that no idea is impossible and that no voice should go unheard.
If you are interested in the Model United Nations ECA, please contact Ms Tamara McChristie in room 3eR. We hold meetings every Wednesday lunchtime and participate in weekend conferences in Bangkok and abroad. All High School students are welcome to join, especially CAS students.
Recently STA students had the opportunity to attend ServICE Conference.
Hear what our students had to say about the ServICE conference:
At St Andrews Bangkok, we’re proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP)—a pathway that blends academic excellence with real-world learning. Designed for students with a passion for a particular career field, the IBCP allows them to gain practical skills, IB-level academics, and global perspectives to prepare for university and beyond.
With access to career-related studies, IB Diploma courses, and personal development opportunities, our students build the confidence and experience needed to take their next steps. Whether pursuing higher education or entering the professional world, the IBCP ensures they are future-ready.
Eloise reflects on her experiences representing St Andrews International School at the annual Remembrance Day service hosted by the British Club in Bangkok. She expresses her deep gratitude for honouring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and the pride she feels in continuing a family tradition while representing her school and community. Eloise emphasises the importance of this meaningful event in fostering remembrance and appreciation.
