Examples of the products of hard work from our MYP students include collaborating online and individually either through the aid of free online apps such as Storyboard and Padlet, or building things using their hands.The Science team was glad that by mid-September we were back to face-to-face learning, though it brought some obstacles as some of our students stayed online thus ushering in our hybrid learning phase.
It was particularly challenging dealing with Science IAs with Grade 12 students online, as experiments are preferably carried out in the science laboratories for efficient data collection and measurement taking for submission to the International Baccalaureate.
Our wish for this new year is that may we finally enjoy being back to complete face-to-face learning as our interactions with our students are a soul filling and heartwarming experience as educators, as we prepare them to be more resilient in face of adversity and environmental changes - all of us coping up with the 'new normal' life.
