Dover Court Celebrates Success at the Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2025 Competition - Dover Court Celebrates Success at the Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2025 Competition

We are excited to share that two of our talented musicians, Shanaya in Year 5 and Hayden in Year 11, have made us incredibly proud at the Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2025 competition. Out of over 3,200 students from 66 Nord Anglia Education schools, we proudly celebrate our global winner and runner-up.

Congratulations to Shanaya and Hayden!

Shanaya, a Year 5 student, is the global winner in the Popular Music: Instrumental Solo category (ages 7-11) with her incredible drum performance of "Toxicity" by System of a Down. Her dedication to music is evident through her active participation in the Year 5&6 Rock Band, lunchtime concerts, and various class performances. We are incredibly proud of her creativity and resilience, showcasing what it means to be a true Doverian!

In the Art Music: Piano category (ages 14+), our talented Year 11 student Hayden earned the title of runner-up in the Art Music: Piano category (ages 14+) with his stunning rendition of "Allegro in B Minor, Op. 8" by Robert Schumann. As a valued member of our Secondary music community, Hayden plays viola in the orchestra and sings and plays drums in different band settings. His commitment and enthusiasm for music inspire both his peers and teachers.

Mr Richard Dyer, our Principal, shared his excitement, stating, “Congratulations to Hayden and Shanaya! This is a remarkable achievement. We have been privileged to enjoy Hayden’s and Shanaya’s performances in school, and now seeing them come out on top against over 3000 competitors is a real delight. The Dover Court community is very proud.”

Congratulations to all our young musicians who participated in the competition. Your hard work, dedication, and passion for music are truly inspiring. We celebrate you all for sharing your talents with us!
